Kafa’a recommends that citizens and residents maintain electrical appliances

The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center directed citizens and residents on the importance of regular maintenance of electrical appliances in general, and air-conditioning devices in particular, as they are the most energy-consuming household electrical appliances.

The center also recommended “cleaning the internal filters and the external radiator” in the air conditioners, because it contributes to prolonging the life of the air conditioner and increasing its efficiency, and it also contributes to improving the air quality.

The center said: Washing the external cooling pipes in the air-conditioner helps remove dust. This allows more efficient heat exchange, and reduces compressor operation; This saves electricity consumption, and the maintenance of electrical appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and freezers contributes to prolonging their life span and maintaining energy consumption rates.
