The founder of the “Telegram” voice and video calling application, Pavel Durov, announced that conference video calls will be supported in the application during this May.
Pavel Durov confirmed, according to “The Verge”, that video conference calls and video conferences will be added, in addition to voice chats already available to users, and the application will support a number of advantages, including screen sharing, encryption, noise cancellation, and application support on desktop and tablet.
It is noteworthy that the fame of “Telegram” spread during the “Corona” pandemic due to the tendency of a large number of individuals to work from home, with the total number of its monthly active users reaching 400 million in April 2020, up from the level of 200 million in 2018.
It also received support with the wave of protests against the rival application “WhatsApp”, when it announced a new privacy policy that prompted users to delete it and to download Telegram instead.
