Professor at the Faculty of Sharia at Imam Islamic University, Dr. Saad Al-Khathlan, explained the best times desired for supplication to be answered.
Sheikh Al-Khathlan said: “The best times for supplication are Friday, which is the last hour of the Friday prayer after the afternoon prayer, and also from the preacher ascending the pulpit until the prayer is finished.” He pointed out that the hour does not mean 60 minutes, but rather moments.
Sheikh Saad Al-Khathlan continued: “Likewise, there is an answer hour at night, specifically at the end of the night before the dawn call to prayer, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said:“ There is an hour in the night that a Muslim does not agree to ask something better than the world and the Hereafter unless he gives it to him every night. ” narrated by Muslim.
He added that supplication during prostration should be answered, as he says, may blessings and peace be upon him: The closest the servant is to his Lord when he is prostrating, so make a lot of supplicationThe same applies to the fasting person when breaking his fast, and supplication is also answered between the call to prayer and the iqaamah. It was authenticated on the authority of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – that he said: “Supplication is not returned between the call to prayer and the iqaamah.” Narrated by Abu Dawud.
