• Assesses trainee needs: The HVAC Master Trainer will evaluate the current strengths and weaknesses of the trainees. This could involve a variety of assessment methods such as tests, surveys, focus groups, and meeting with various members of the company. This information will be used to establish the trainees HVAC baseline and advanced competency levels.
• Designs training plans: The Master Trainer will build the technical HVAC curriculum to ensure trainees overcome any current weaknesses, learn additional skills, and continue professional development with the overarching goal of keeping the trainees competitive and efficient.
• Knows the industry: The HVAC Master Trainer is our industry expert and will stay abreast of new innovations in the industry as well as current and new building codes and compliance issues.
• Evaluate results of Training: Upon completion of each training module, the Master Trainer is required to assess the trainees performance levels to ensure the trainees adequately learned the desired lessons and skills. This includes making sure the trainees are always complying with regulations and standards, as well evaluating the training program.
• Technical knowledge of Thermo King units and the industry as a whole

• Expertise and skill in refrigeration truck service and repair as well as general maintenance
• Diagnose problems with transport refrigeration equipment and perform repairs with minimum supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading electrical and refrigeration schematics.

• Teach all assigned courses, a range per semester, for the full duration of scheduled instruction.
• Ensure that each class session contains essential curricular components, incorporates appropriate content and pedagogy, and is relevant to current events/trends.
• As needed, teach classes online, on-campus, and/or at off-campus sites.
• Teach an academic success class as needed.
• Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate, timely feedback.
• Maintain regular, appropriate, professional communication with students.
• Incorporate appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning.
• Ensure cleanliness of instructional areas and laboratories.
• Ensure the proper operation of classroom/lab equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate person(s).
• Participate in the evaluation and acquisition of instructional materials, audio-visual aids, support and equipment needs.
• Develop and distribute course syllabi according to the established template and guidelines, providing appropriate information to students concerning course expectations, evaluation criteria, and access to student support services.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an associate degree; or certificate in HVAC and Five years trade experience
Computer and Training Skills
proficiency in Thermo King with installation and repair on various types of commercial and residential air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration units
working knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC, building code requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations, and job site safety are required
Knowledge and understanding of Air Conditioner Maintenance within the industrial field
Experience and enthusiasm for course delivery with a practical focus
Ability to enthuse about learning resources that are appropriate to end market requirements
The ability to engage with Trainees on their learning journey
