Many residents of the neighborhoods east of the holy capital are waiting for the announcement of the end of the “Al Sharaea Hospital” project, called “Makkah Hospital,” after 4 months, as it is scheduled to be completed in mid-2021 AD, according to the Ministry of Health.
The people of these neighborhoods were looking forward to the day when the hospital project would be completed and opened, as it is a dream that they had been waiting for for many years to rid them of the trouble of going to government hospitals far from their homes, and the project had begun its construction in 1436 AH and was decided to finish in 1440 AH, but it was extended. The Ministry will hold the contract until the middle of 2021 AD, and the people are wondering about the fate of their long-awaited dream regarding the opening of the hospital, and whether or not it will be realized after the end of these remaining months.
This anticipation from the people of the project comes amid great fears from them that the project will continue to stall or extend its construction contract for additional years, and they demanded to speed up its implementation and finish it on time, and they said: We have been waiting for many years on the warmth of the opening of this hospital due to the severity of our need for its services. Although his project has faltered a lot, we still hope that it will end soon, and at the moment of implementing his first steps in the year 1436 AH, we had great joy, but this joy soon faded due to his failure as it was scheduled to be completed in 1440 AH, but it did not end without knowing the reasons, and still Currently walking at turtle speed, indifferent to people’s health.
They added: During the Hajj and Ramadan seasons and the summer and spring vacations, the torrent road is filled with convoys of cars moving between Taif and Makkah, but those who need to visit the hospital will suffer greatly because the government hospital sites are far from the Shari’a and Jaarana plans, in which there are only some health centers that cannot treat some Medical cases, especially emergency cases and traffic accidents.
The General Hospital, after its completion, serves many of the residents of al-Shara’a’s schemes, Ja’arana, Rashidiya and the neighboring villages after the population boom that these neighborhoods have witnessed, as well as serving those coming from the east of the region, especially from Riyadh and Taif, and the hospital is located east of the holy capital near the Jaarana area, and 25 km from the mosque It is forbidden, and the cost of its establishment is (625,305,000) riyals.
