Saudi air defenses intercepted this morning, Saturday, a missile launched by the Houthi militia towards Riyadh. The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the interception and destruction of an air target launched by the Houthi militia towards the city of Riyadh.
On Friday, the coalition announced that it had thwarted two terrorist operations that the Houthi militia had tried to carry out, and explained that an explosive Houthi boat had been intercepted and destroyed in the south of the Red Sea. He also indicated the destruction of a Houthi booby-trapped plane heading towards Saudi Arabia.
It is noteworthy that the coalition and the Yemeni government have repeatedly confirmed that Al-Houthi’s violations pose a threat to international security and navigation. He also repeatedly warned against militias attempting to target civilians, stressing at the same time that he is continuing to deter the crimes of terrorist militias. A week ago, the coalition also announced the interception and destruction of 3 booby-trapped drones launched towards the Kingdom by the Houthi coup militia. He warned at the time that Hodeidah had become the center for launching explosive drones and hostile and terrorist attacks, stressing that the militia continued to violate international humanitarian law and the Stockholm Agreement.
On Friday, confrontations were renewed between the joint Yemeni forces of the Yemeni government and the Houthi terrorist group, in Hodeidah Governorate. The “Giants Brigades” forces, assigned by the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, said, through its media center, that “the forces monitored armed movements and attempted to establish fortifications near the contact lines in the 50 and Al Saleh Street sectors, east of Hodeidah.”
And she stressed, “The units stationed from the joint forces in the contact lines confronted the Houthis and forced them to flee, after a number of them were killed and wounded,” noting that “new fortifications for Houthi elements have been destroyed.” The source added, “A woman from the village of Kamaran, east of the city of Hodeidah, was killed in the explosion of a mine of Houthi remnants planted in the cowshed southeast of the city.” He also referred to “the displacement of dozens of families from the residential neighborhood of Mazhar, in the Al-Hawk district, south of Hodeidah, following repeated missile and artillery shelling by the Houthis.”
