| JOB DESCRIPTION: – Receive and welcome all guests to the outlet – Allocate tables to walk-in guests, or as per their advance booking requirements, and escort them to their tables and ensure that their seating arrangements are satisfactory – Attend to initial guest requirements before handing over to station Waiter/ Captain – Answer telephones and handle inquiries and bookings, giving a prompt and professional service – Acquire an in depth knowledge of the Menu and any special Promotions so as to recommend to the guest appropriately, so as to maximize sales – Oversee the activities of the waiting staff and assist where necessary – Maintain and periodically change Menu and Menu Inserts as directed – Communicate any special requirements regarding table bookings to Outlet Supervisors/Manager – Be familiar with guests’ names, their preferences concerning food, beverage, service and tables and tend to the guests accordingly – Make special arrangements by referring to Guest History Record – Attend to all departing guests ensuring a courteous farewell |
