The security spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, revealed the reasons for the recent increase in cases of the emerging coronavirus.
He explained during the press conference on Corona developments in the Kingdom, that the groups violating the preventive measures during the holiday period, were the reason for the increase in the newly registered cases, indicating that more than 18 thousand violations were detected during the past week.
He emphasized that Riyadh ranked first as the most violating precautionary measures, with 24.5 thousand violations, followed by Makkah Al-Mukarramah region with 15 thousand violations, then Al-Qassim with 9 thousand violations, while Jizan was the least in registering violations with 663 violations, followed by Najran with 880 thousand violations.
Al-Shalhoub pointed out that the violations declared continuously through the account of the Ministry of Interior and the Saudi Press Agency, include all regions, stressing that they are not limited to men only, but include all spectrums of society.
He stressed the need to fully adhere to the approved instructions in the application of health safety requirements, and to stay away from any site that witnesses a gathering in violation of or weakness in the application of the health prevention protocol.
